Marine Krischer is an actress and a stunt performer. She was born in Brussels in 1996, works between Belgium and France, and does both jobs for the same reason: they are two ways of telling the same thing with a body.

The discipline came first. Classical dance from childhood, violin alongside it, almost twenty-five years of repeating a movement until it holds. Classical dance teaches you to control, to correct, to give nothing away. It is a whole education, and it left her with a flexibility and a standard she uses every day.

Then came the opposite. A master's in Performing Arts at UCLouvain, a dissertation on Romeo Castellucci's opera direction, and the discovery that acting asked for the exact reverse of what dance had taught her: let go. Stunt work went further still. To commit to a fall you have to quiet the part of yourself that spent twenty years learning not to.

It turned on a video. A stunt woman against a dozen men, throwing kicks that land on no one and hurt anyway. She understood what she wanted to do. As a child it was already there: Catwoman, watched too young, a woman afraid of nothing, and fights invented with her brother in the living room.

In August 2023 she took her first course at Campus Univers Cascades, the main stunt school in Europe. She returned in 2024 for the selection course and was taken into the two-year professional programme: six accepted out of twenty. In December 2023 she started taekwondo. Three months later she walked onto the mat at the national competition as a white belt and walked off with two gold medals.

She now works in both registers. On screen: Meurtres à Soissons for France 3, Marave for Prime Video, the lead in Clepsydra, Road-Tripes for RTBF. In stunts: doubling and fight work on series and short films, wire work, high falls, choreographed combat. On Amina Traoré : l’héritage du Mandé she did both on the same project, which is exactly the point.

She has set herself a deadline: to be in an action film, as an actress who does her own stunts, before she turns thirty.
